We have had links to a
few of my favorite autoresponder options in the Affiliate Links
section for a while now, but I thought it was time for a full
review of these services. I have had experience with several
autoresponder options in the past, but Aweber is the service that I
currently use.
Aweber is what would be considered a hosted
autoresponder service in that everything relating to the service is
hosted on Aweber's servers, not your own. One main benefit to this
is that you don't have to deal with the installation, setup, and
maintenance of the autoresponder. This is also a major bonus for
internet marketers with more than one website. With your Aweber
membership, you can create an unlimited number of autoresponders and
manage all of them in the same place.
Aweber does a great job
of providing features and tools to all levels of internet marketers.
The service provides you with many newsletter templates that you can
use to create and run your own newsletter in a matter of minutes. If
you already have your own email or newsletter format, you can also
just copy and paste that in.
Creating signup forms is a snap
with this service also. You just have to log-in and select a few
different options and you will have the web code for your form in no
time. You can even create pop-up, pop-over, and hovering sign-up
forms for your site. Aweber makes it very easy to start getting
subscribers immediately.
If you have a blog site, you can
even have Aweber automatically create a newsletter based on your
blog entries. You just give it the rss feed and choose what you want
the emails to look like and how often they should go out. Aweber
does the rest automatically. You can even link it to your feedburner
account to increase your subscribers.
Perhaps the area where
Aweber best shines is with the included email analytics. You can get
detailed statistics on all of your emails including number of opens
and link click tracking. You can also quickly see which of your
signup forms are most effective in order to make your advertising as
effective as possible.
Finally, many marketers will also
find the extensive subscriber management tools very useful as well.
You can easily integrate Aweber with shopping cart software to aid
in the delivery of digital product purchases and after purchase
support.
I am a big fan of Aweber's service, but it might be
priced a little high for some marketers. Pricing is based purely on
number of subscribers and starts at around $20 a month. It isn't the
cheapest service out there, but it is an excellent choice in terms
of quality and reliability.
