TrafficSwarm is just one of many sites
offering free traffic to those who join. I generally follow the rule
that if something sounds too good to be true, it almost always is.
So why would I waste my time trying out TrafficSwarm if I was
certain it was too good to be true? Well, I am constantly reading
marketing blogs and publications and this was the only "free
traffic" program that kept coming up time and time again. With
several recommendations from people that I consider to be honest,
reputible affiliate marketers, I figured I should give the program a
try.
TrafficSwarm works on a "credits" system like some other
link exchange sites. You get several hundred credits just for
signing up, and you also get credits for visiting pages of other
members and also by referring other traffic to links in the
TrafficSwarm network. With your free membership, you are provided
three different tools to help you generate this traffic. There is a
searchbox that you can insert into your site that will provide
targeted links based on the search term that is typed into the box.
An example of the search box is below.
The
second way to send traffic to user sites is by displaying
TrafficSwarm links on your page. These ads are similar to Google's
Adsense, except you receive credits for each visitor that clicks on
an ad. The ads aren't very attractive in my opinion, but if you have
a site that already generates a good bit of traffic (or an extensive
mailing list), this is a good way to generate more credits and
therefore, more traffic to your site. The ad boxes are somewhat
customizable, but an example of one is below.
The final way they offer for you to promote TrafficSwarm
and get free credits is with a pop-under script that will pop a link
up when one of your visitors leaves your web page. You gain credits
for each person that clicks the link and signs up for a free
account. You also receive one credit for each click generated by
those you refer, up to 5 levels deep.
Generating credits is
only half the battle though. You also have to create an ad for your
site(s) that will catch the attention of others and get clicks. The
main benefit is that instead of paying for each click, they will
only cost you 1 credit each. My experience with the program so far
has really shown the importance of creating a great ad. When I first
used a very basic description of my site, I got very little traffic,
despite having over 3,000 credits in my account. Once I took the
time to create an eye-catching title and description for
my ad, the traffic began to flow. You can create multiple ads and
use multiple sites, so the best thing to do is to try a few
out and see which perform best. One of the best features is that you
can send your earned traffic to your web site or straight to one of
your affiliate links!
Everything sounds good so far right?
Well, here is the "catch", if you want to call it that. The program
is technically free and you can generate a fair amount of traffic
without paying a dime. TrafficSwarm does promote and offer a "pro"
account upgrade that offers many benefits to members. For $30 a
month, Pro users get 2,500 credits automatically each month and also
earn 2-3 times as many credits per referred click as free members.
While $30 may sound like a lot to some of you, I found
very quickly that it is worth it. The traffic that I've been
receiving from the program has been quality traffic and I now
generate a lot more traffic (and a lot cheaper) from TrafficSwarm
than I do from PPC marketing. There are several other benefits to
the Pro upgrade, but you can read all about them after you set up
your free account.
It
does take a little time to get used to the program and to write
solid ads to generate clicks, but the bottom line is this is some of
the most cost-effective traffic you will find. You really begin to
see the benefits of the program once you become a Pro user, but you
can still see solid, quality traffic from a free account. It is free
to sign up, so if you have a website, give it a try!
